Dr. Dionne Ferguson completed her doctorate of veterinary medicine with honors in 2007 at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal internship the following year at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center (Now MedVet Mandeville) before entering the small animal internal medicine residency program back at LSU. At the completion of this program in 2011, she obtained her board certification in small animal internal medicine. She then started the internal medicine service at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center where she has practiced since that time.
Dr. Ferguson’s professional interests include GI disease, endocrine disease and immune disorders, as well as ultrasound and endoscopy. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband and three kids (as well as time indoors at home with her two cavaliers and kitty).
